お望みのことは、日本語版を使わずに、英語版を使えばいいのではないでしょうか。日本語版を入れてしまったのなら、wp-config.php で define ('WPLANG', 'en'); とすればいいでしょう。なお、テーマは読者に見えるので、たとえば twentyten ならその ja.mo を入れておくなど、日本語化されているのがいいとは思います。

「???」になってしまう状況というのがよくわかりませんが、MySQL データベースの文字コードの設定が UTF-8 になっていないのかもしれません。UTF-8 にしておけば、WordPress が何語版であろうと、内容そのものはそれと無関係の何語でも使えると思います。

I am trying to create a website for Japanese people, which means my blog will be in Japanese…

Although I want to write in Japanese, I need to work on them in English ( since I don’t really know the technical words in Japanese…)

I installed the wordpress.org through my web host’s fantastico since I couldn’t figure out how to download on my own…

I have 3.0 updated wordpress site set up.
Now I am sad to realize that the wordpress.org do not support Japanese… aHHHH…
All the Japanese words become “???” when I tried to publish…

So I did, but then I found out that is no what I needed. I don’t want the “admin site” to be in Japanese.
I just want to write a blog in Japanese.

I also did
“WordPress ルート直下の wp-config.php ファイルを開き、「WPLANG」の箇所を次のように設定
define (‘WPLANG’, ‘ja’);”
I am not sure what this does…

Nao-san recommended (in a forum) to download the Japanese version and use a plugin to change admin part in English.
I am not technical.. I couldn’t understand and failed to download on my own, so I used Fantastico through my web host.
Is there anything else I can do to create a website in Japanese language?

日本人の方々用の日本語のウェブサイトをワードプレスドットオーグを使って作りたいのですが．やり方がわかりません。私はテクニカルな日本語がわからなく、説明等、アドミンのサイトは英語のままがいいのです。
けれどブログ自体は、日本人の方に読んでいただける日本語で書かれたブログにしたいのです。
私は、ウェブホストもありますしサイトも設置してあるのですが、日本語をアドミンで書くとパブリッシュした時にせっかく書いた日本語が　”？？？”　になってしまうのです．
私は皆さんと違って、テクニカルなことがわからないので、Fantasticoを使って私のホストサーバーからワードプレスドットオーグをダウンロードしました。
フォーラムでナオさんがどなたかに日本語版をダウンロードしてそれからプラグインを加えるようにおしゃっていましたが、英語版もダウンロードできない私にとってはつらいところです。その上日本語版では、説明がわからないので、そこもつらい所です．

このまま英語版を使って、ただブログを書き入れる所だけ文字化けせず日本語でできる方法をおしえていただけませんか？
よろしくお願いします．このままでは、新しいウェブサイトをスタートすることができません．
